Quepos: They protest against the elimination of the Bilingual category

It is that: a group of parents went out to protest peacefully very early in the morning of this Monday, May 13, 2024 outside the Manuel Antonio School, in Quepos against the educational authorities.

According to the parents, students and former officials of the institution, the demonstration is due to the fact that they apparently intend to remove the bilingual category from said Educational Center, a situation with which they disagree.

Likewise, parents point out the situation is detrimental to minors, since the area where they live is touristy and they require greater preparation in the English language.

"This is not fair to anyone. We hope that the bilingual plan is not removed, that they leave it, because for them (the school authorities) it is that the plan dies and that is why parents come out to demonstrate," added the mother of the family, Fanny Zúñiga.

For now, the parents hope that with the demonstration an agreement will be reached to prevent the authorities from removing the bilingual category from the Manuel Antonio School.
